Guinate Tropical Park

Guinate Tropical Park is located at the foot of Mount Corona, an extinct volcano that is the highest point of the island.

The Park is set in 45,000 sq metres (about 11 acres) of gardens, waterfalls and lakes and is home to many of species of birds, animals, reptiles and fish.

Situated some 40 metres above sea level, there are outstanding views of the islands of La Graciosa, Alegranza and Montaña Clara.

Guinate is open every day including fiestas and bank holidays, from 10 am to 5pm. They suggest that you allow 2-4 hours to enjoy the park properly. There is a snack bar on site and organised trips can be arranged.

Children (0 to 3yrs) - Free

Directions:

From Teguise: travel up through Los Valles (LZ 10 road) then down into Haria. From Haria, take the road to Mirador del Rio (LZ 202), where you pick up signs for Guinate (the Village) and Guinate Tropical Park & Penguin Paradise.

From Arrecife: take the ring road around Arrecife to Tahiche (LZ 1) all the way North to Arrieta, then pick up the LZ 10 that takes you up a hill and to a round-about. Take the first right, go through the quaint village of Maguez and on to the road to Guinate.
