Excursions and Trips

There is a huge variety of places to go and things to do on Lanzarote.  Fancy trying your hand at scuba diving or game fishing? Perhaps you'd prefer a boat trip on a stylish catamaran, sailing you effortlessly down the eastern coast of the island, and anchoring off the Papagayo national park so that you can take a swim in crystal clear Atlantic waters?

Culture lovers can choose from historic towns, natural history tours, or a trip to the iconic Cesar Manrique Fundacion at Nazaret, just North of Arrecife.  Here you can admire the former home and work of the famous sculptor, artist, architect and engineer, who gave so much to the island, and whose influence lives on some 15 years after his death.

Whatever your preferences, there should be something for everyone in the listings below...

    Mirador del Rio

Cueva de Los Verdes (The Green Caves)

La Cueva de los Verdes is very close to los Jameos del Agua, so it's quite a good idea to plan to do both on the same day, if you're travelling from another part of the island.

It is a truly incredible piece of natural architecture, formed by the eruption of the volcano Monte de la Corona some five thousand years ago. It is also one of the longest volcanic galleries in the world (6 km long).

During the 17th century the caves were used by locals to hide from Pirates and slave hunters.
